A project team from the company travelled to the Dominican Republic in December to continue building up a long-term cooperation with various cocoa farmers. The aim of the project is to improve the living conditions of local families through various sustainability activities such as the promotion of biodiversity on the farms or an additional premium for the cocoa farmers. The delegation met participating cocoa producers and their families, visited farms, participated in workshops and developed a monitoring system to enable a transparent supply chain with this region.
